RapidShare Happy Hours – No Waiting Time, No CAPTCHAs

Recently, Rapidshare has introduced its Happy Hours. If you find it tough to solve the complex Cat CAPTCHA images in RapidShare or need to download multiple files in one session, try postponing your downloads until the happy hour is active.

RapidShare activates their ‘happy hour’ for 18 consecutive hours on weekdays and for 14 hours on weekends starting at midnight British Summer time (UTC+1) or 5:30 AM if you’re in India.

You can use few firefox extension that will check whether Rapidshare Happy Hours are currently active or not. One of them is called Happychecker

India's Top T-Schools by Dataquest (2008)

The previous story was about the rankings by Outlook magazine and now Dataquest has released its own list.

The main highlights are:

• IIT Kharagpur retains its #1 position, with the next 5 places also taken by IITs
• NSIT Delhi re-entered the Top 10 club, jumping 13 ranks
• NIT Calicut jumps up six rungs to #9 and Dhirubhai Ambani Institute of ICT jumps up ten rungs to #12
• Average maximum salary goes up by nearly 25% to reach Rs 7.4 lakh
• Worrying signs on the research and pure academic fronts? While average number of research papers during the year reduced marginally (57 to >55), the number of students pursuing PhD fell from 132 to 101 leading to lesser no of doctorates awarded8, down from 37
• Is the global slowdown impacting IT/BPO recruitments? May be. While average number of IT/BPO companies visiting campuses came down from 39 to 30, average number of students placed in these companies increased from 216 to 260

Viacom18 to Launch 'COLORS' hindi entertainment channel

Viacom 18 Media Pvt Ltd ,a joint venture between Viacom Inc and Network18), India's leading multi-media entertainment powerhouse revealed the identity of its soon to be launched Hindi General Entertainment in India - 'COLORS'. To be launched in July, 'COLORS' promises to offer an entire spectrum of emotions to these viewers, that is well captured in its tagline - 'Jasbaat Ke Rang'(colors of emotions).

'COLORS' also announced two of its initial flagship shows: 'FEAR FACTOR - Khatron Ke Khiladi', the biggest action format show that Indian viewers would have ever seen and 'Mohe Rang De', a differentiated fiction show. For Fear Factor, 'COLORS' has roped-in India's biggest action hero, Akshay Kumar, who will be hosting the show that is planned across 16 episodes.

'COLORS' is dedicated to promoting 'Cohesive viewing', through programmes that have universal appeal and is set to launch in July, 2008.

Last day for Bill Gates at microsoft today

Today is the day that Bill Gates walks away from his roll at Microsoft to move on to his philanthropic work. After 30 years, his final day at the company he founded is here.

Once his day is over, he’ll be spending the evening with all of his pals from Microsoft who will be celebrating his work and time at the company at a gala dinner. The three men that have already taken over his various roles include Steve Ballmer (CEO), Ray Ozzie (Chief Software Architect), and Craig Mundie (chief research and strategy officer).

How will be Microsoft without this idol?

Kismat Konnection - Music Review

Synopsis
This is a story about an architect Raj Malhotra(Shahid kapoor).He was a topper in his school and college days. He is unable to get any clients or projects during his working period.All the things he does become wrong.The alarm clock he sets do not work in the morning,his shower stops working when he takes bathe,his vehicle stops at the way.Then one of his friend Hasina(Juhi chawla) advice him that his stars are not good and she needs a lucky charm or a person who can change his life.During this instance he meets Priya(Vidya Balan)who is always ready to help others.After meeting priya raj's life changes and he prosperous.

The much awaited music of the romantic flick of the season “Kismat Konnection” is out now and the music is no doubt going to sell like hot cakes in the coming weeks.The soundtrack has Six originals and five remixes in total . The music is given by Pritam and he is on a roller-coaster these days . After giving chart busting music of Race which is still running high on charts he is back with Kismat Konnection.

The Track opens with the title track which is on air these days in the Trailer. The song is strangely titled “Aai Paapi” but definitely has commercial capabilities.This song is no doubt going to be a big hit and has a great new feel to it. The song is well sung by Neeraj Shridhar and lyrics have been given by Shabbir Ahmed.

The second track on the album is “Bakhuda tumhi Ho” which is by Atif Aslam and Alka Yagnik . After “Pehli Nazar Mein” in Race Atif is back again in this track in the same old style in exquisite way . This song is very much different from the prior one and has Urdu lyrics in it which makes it even more close to Atif and is a perfect song for him.

The next song on the Album is Move Your Body by Shaan , Suheil , Hard Kaur and Akriti Kakkar . This is typical party track with hip hop RAP by Hard Kaur.

The next 2 tracks are titled “Is this Love” and "Soniye Ve".

Then starts a series of Remixes all done by DJ Suketo.

In all, the tracks are well prepared ones and the album is worth a buy. This one is undoubtedly gonna climb the charts soon. The album has a nice blend of Romantic and Club songs which was the case even with the album of Jab We Met.

Shahrukh & Akshay Fighting For The #1 Spot

The box office rivalry between Akshay Kumar and Shah Rukh Khan is soon going to be public. The war for the number one position will be at its peak when Shah Rukh Khan’s Billoo Barber will clash with Akshay Kumar’s Chandni Chowk to China at the marquee.

In the past couple of years, Akshay Kumar has delivered hits consistently and is said to be on par with Shah Rukh Khan in his box-office status and hence is a threat to SRK’s numero uno throne. He is already the most sought after actor and that’s why Nikhil Advani’s film Chandni Chowk to China is tipped to be very hot in the trade circuit.

So Akshay and Advani have already planned to start off with the teaser promo of their film to show with Akshay’s film Singh Is Kinng. With both sides pitted equally, it’s well worth the wait to check out who will win the battle.
